worst option
I'm moving up noth to NY in the next few weeks, and am kind of worried about the weather that's been up there. Anyone recomend a brand of cables or chains for the good ole' S2000.?

Throw a quad of Nokian NRV's on there and you'll be fine for the winter months and during the messy early spring driving conditions when all the crap is melting and the roads suck.
Hey, I'm in Jersey, not far from where you will be going I think, if you are going to be near the city, don't sweat snow tires, etc. this season, just remember to buy snow tires early next season because not a lot of places seem to have them when later on in the season as I found out in a hurry this year.
I just put on new AVS ES100's by Yokohmama and have driven in minimal amounts of snow...not too bad, but for a ful winter you will need snow tires, don't mess with chains.
I lucked out since I have access to a Jeep, but go for the winter tires, I have heard some guys saying they are in their third season with the same snow tires so they last pretty long at that too. An essential S2K investment for the northeast unless you have another vehicle.
P.S. Where in NY are you moving?
