Default Yet another wheel/tire setup question.

Here is what I'm thinking for my 07:

Winter:
OEM wheels, either Dunlop WinterSport M3s or Bridgestone Blizzak LM-25.

Summer:
Volk RE-30 (17x7.5 +50, 17x9 +63), either OEMs or Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3.

Car will be a DD. I want a stock fit and handling, no rolling fenders/rubbing/etc. Northern VA (a little snow and ice, but mostly cold/rain). I want predictable handling.

My thoughts:

I don't know how to compare the M3s vs. the LM25s. All the performance winter tires are rated very close on tirerack and they don

I cant comment on the LM25's, but the M3's are great in cold/dry weather and when the occasional rain/snow starts falling you can be confident your gonna get where your going without a problem.

the only thing i can say about f1's in 17 form, is that i have experienced them, but not in an s. my friend has them on his m3, and i've come so close to getting them(too much$$$), just because of the rides i have had in this car. they are just so sticky. and in the rain, like you said, they are almost the same, as if they were on a dry surface. also, i think that ferrari uses the f1 for a lot of thier cars, i may be wrong though.
