We have tested them. They were an excelletn wet traction tire. They are a better tire than the Yoko ES100 that was one of the most popular tires on the S2K. They are not a Max performance tire for all out handling. If you are looking for a good tire at a good price they are a good tire.
If I can help let me know.

Jim,
How would you compare the s.drives and the re-01rs in the wet?

I've been running the S.drives on the front for about 3k miles now. They seen to be pretty good so far. I havent pushed them yet in the rain due to the fact that im still running the stock rears w/ 27k miles on them. However, as of last week tire rack didn't have the correct tyre size for the rear of AP2's (245 40). I ordered the front when I heard that they were releasing the 245 40's a week or so later.... this was 2 and a half months ago

jim what would you pick, i have a 03 G35 and the S-drives and Tireracks Avon tires are the only 2 summer tires i found in the 215/55R17 size?

I have the avon m500's now (thanks to Luke), and i was wondering what your input about the S-drivers are?

I very satisfied w. the M500's but alas they are wearing out and i have to make the decision to buy tires again for the G.

Hi wylin,

I would go with the Sdrive. They are a little better riding tire and the wet traction was very good. If I can help just let me know.

I would say the Sdrive would be comparable to the RE01R in the wet but not even close in the dry. The Sdrive would have better ride quality as well. If I can help let me know.
