Default HID conversion for a Monte Carlo

One of the guys at work just got a 2000 Monte Carlo and he wants to do a HID retro-fit. Do any of you have experience with an online aftermarket source for HID kits? A google search yields so many results, my head spins.

fairly simple.
find out which bulb the MC uses (H3, H4, 9006, 9007... yada yada yada) and buy the kit for that bulb.
i would say about 90% of aftermarket HID conversion kits are plug and play. no cutting or splicing required.

my one friend used to sell and install them. and he is..... a rusty dull knife to be nice.
if you are even half mechanically inclined, you can do this.

jeggy, it uses 9006 low beams. I know most of them are plug-n-play. My concern relates more to the quality of the ballasts and electrical connectors used in the kits. I suppose sticking to the big names like Phillips is the best way to ensure quality.

Thomas, thanks for the link. I'll show it to him.

FYI, I just put an HID kit into my GF's new Scion. I paid 130 shipped, and it even came overnight UPS. Not bad. These things have really gotten dirt cheap.

He already got some and installed them this past weekend. Not sure where he got the kit, but it was about $300 total and he's happy with it.
