I came into the office yesterday, and my badge wouldn't let me into the area where my desk is.

I call physical security to fix it, and they do. I checked on the way out, and it was working. When I get in today, it's not working again!

I call them back, they tell me to submit a request for the access (the request was put in weeks ago when we moved to this building, and it WORKED yesterday.) "Well, just put in the request, get it approved by your manager and get back to us."

My manager approved the request, but apparently they needed TWO levels of approval.
So my boss's boss approved it (again) and it does now seem to be working. Well, it worked last week, I'll see if it works on Thursday.

New windshield for the Scirocco is $800, not installed, doesn't include new weatherstripping.

well, depending on what else you have to do to yours, it might be smart to keep an eye out.

I'd rather just buy a new windshield, not another car

Parked my motorcycle too close to the Lotus to help a friend share the garage. My front wheel turned, shifting the bike, and the exhaust header melted a bit of the front clamshell.
