Glad to help.
I have a handful of genre stations that I don't have any thumbs up or downs in simply because I want to experience all that the genre has to offer... I just skip it if I don't like it, or change to another station.
Otherwise, it generally takes a good amount of time to get a good mix going. Like I said, it took me several years before I got my classic rock station sorted out, but now it plays awesome stuff more consistently than any radio station.

I've found some genres are very broad, and cover a very wide swath of music. I've been tweaking my Alpine Stars station for a bit using the thumb up/down method. So far, it's been working pretty good. Mostly, using it to remove specific artists who's music I can't stand. Songs by an artist that I really like I'll TU. Songs by that same artist that I don't really care for I'll leave alone. Songs by artists who's music is consistantly annoying, I'll TD.
I'm just tired of seeing people post crap like "OMG, IT PLAYS MORE ARTISTS OTHER THAN T.I. ON MY T.I. STATION, WTFFFF?!?!"

I would kill to hear someone actually exclaim that exact statement. I would roll over laughing and hope someone recorded it so I can make it my ringtone.

maybe i should finally try pandora >.<
Ive taught dozen of my customers how to use it but I haven't used it myself since lately Ive been listening to japanese music and few selected songs(like 45ish).
Besides I have a good collection of stuff.....6758 songs as of now which include about 500 two hourish trance mixes by my friends from taiwan, stuff that I highly doubt I can find on pandora.
