Default P1607 code (help)

somebody around here it's selling me a s2000 for a very low price, the only problem it's that the car have the check engine light ON, i already read the code (p1607) and i was searching and i discover that it's a malfunction with the ECU, if i just buy a used ECU and swap with the one that it's not working do i will have the problem solved? or it may be another thing? it's a serious problem this code?

and my last question is: if i put another ECU do i have to take the car to the dealer or any place to reprogram the ECU to my car? or it's just plug and play?

please help me with this because i really like this s2000, thanks!!

Low battery can set this code falsely.

Reset the light and see if it returns.

You cannot plug and play an ECU. There are ways around it, if you can get an original key with the ECU.
