It's long gone. Just a test video I took from within the car when I first got my go pro and was bored one day. I was basically poking fun at people on fchat that are too scared to drive their car in rain. It just so happened to be a torrential downpour that day, so I figured the video would really "rustle their jimmies". Turned out, it rustled many jimmies beyond fchat due to my hovering foot habit

This does assume the brakes can overwhelm the tires.

I mentioned ABS for a reason, but even still, just modulate the brakes. I guarantee that you can brake shorter by using the brakes and backing off if the brakes lock up than with a combination of engine braking and conventional brakes. This is assuming a modern-ish car with modern tires. If you're talking about your dad's Morgan with drum brakes on the front and bias ply bicycle tires, then sure.

That came out spicier than I intended. Apologies all around.

watch the foot well cam. Then, watch his foot very closely, and you'll probably be fairly impressed once you notice the details.

Hovering foot habit? Nope, you deleted it because it was proof that you rest your foot on the clutch pedal and that you are a horrible driver. You're a liar and you know it!

This was something I never even thought about while driving, until I read this thread. On the way home from work, I realized I am a dead pedal rester. I really can't get it with the hovering.

Wears out the clutch throwout bearing. Don't do it. Do t rest your hand on the shifter either. Only touch the clutch or shifter when changing gears.

Tried hovering left leg over clutch pedal the other day. Felt odd. Like sitting was not as secure, esp in turns and slowing down at intersections.

I guess I'm just not used to it.

If I can figure out a way to position my phone to record my foot placement during my commute, I'll try and record another video. But then I'll be aware that it's recording and probably use the dead pedal more...
