Honda S2000 Laps Greece’s Serres Racing Circuit

By -

The Serres Racing Circuit is one of only two racing road courses in the country of Greece, and a perfect fit for an agile S2000.

Aside from its killer looks and performance, the Honda S2000 benefited from a couple more important characteristics that boosted its popularity. One of them was its relatively affordable price, and the other was its versatility. Whether commuting back and forth from work, or tackling a road course on the weekends – the mighty little Honda could do it all.

Another awesome aspect of the S2000 is that it’s well-balanced enough to be enjoyed a variety of race tracks. Whether it’s tight hairpins or sweeping esses, its responsive four-cylinder VTEC engine, double-wishbone suspension, and formidable steering could tackle it all. As we can see on this video by Dorikinthe Serres Racing Circuit in Serres, Greece offers a mix of high and medium-speed flowing corners that bond well with the car and driver.

S2000

According to the video’s description, this S2000 features a stock engine with the exception of a K&N air filter, and judging by its sound, that’s accurate. Adhering it to the pavement are four Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires managed by Eibach springs. Lastly, helping it slowdown are stock rotors with Ferodo DS2500 brake pads. Overall it’s not the wildest of rides but certainly one that’s more than capable of delivering a few good, fun laps.

According to reports the Serres Racing Circuit opened in 1998 and is one of two racing tracks in Greece. Furthermore, it’s the only one in the country with any kind of FIA and FIM homologations. Oh, and its main straight is nearly two miles long. We don’t know about you, but it certainly looks like a blast to drive.
