Forum Member’s Turbo S2000 Build Has Us Itching to Go Fast
S2000s are all about balance — so this forum member upgraded everything.
We all love the S2000 for its balanced chassis, divine handling, and impressive engineering. While the power output of the F20 is adequate, you’d be hard-pressed to find someone who would call any stock S2000 “overpowered.” Some owners might find themselves a bit outclassed when it comes to newer machinery.
Forum member Ek_Jak has found a solution. Not only does his low-mile, Berlina Black 2003 have all the right visual upgrades, it’s got it where it counts under the hood.
The stock F20C was transformed into a fire-breathing monster, thanks to the addition of a Precision 6262 turbocharger. Far from a mere bolt-on affair, every detail was taken into account, resulting in a completely custom-built engine that’s more than ready to stand up to the task at hand.

Inline Pro out of Springfield, Virginia was tasked with building the engine. they’re well-renowned experts when it comes to the S2000 platform, and they used the full breadth of their expertise on this build. They practically threw their catalog of in-house parts at the engine internals: connecting rods, sleeves, valve springs & retainers, and head studs. Forged CP pistons and ACL race bearings complete the engine internals.
Naturally, a full complement of supporting mods are present as well. A full 3″ exhaust from Trackforged and BERK Technology help the engine to breathe easier, while a P-Fabrications Stage 2 intercooler and Full Blown radiator keep things cool when it’s needed most. AEM takes care of engine management duties, and a Tial blow-off valve bleeds excess boost pressure quickly and efficiently. This beefed-up F20C is fed by 1000cc injectors and a 320 LPH fuel pump. All in all, this setup is good for a mind-bending 454 horsepower at the rear wheels on 17 lbs. of boost.
When you consider that the entire car received this much attention, from the drivetrain to the interior, the build becomes even more impressive. While Ek_Jak has opted to sell the car and move on, we wish him the best of luck with his next build. If it’s anything like this one, it’s bound to turn heads.
