Shock and Awe: Low-Mileage AP2 in Formula Red

2007 Honda S2000

This S2000 is among the lowest mileage cars we’ve seen offered for sale since they were new.

Like you, we spend a lot of time looking for other S2000s for sale around the country. Sometimes, we’re doing it to gauge the current market. Other times, we just like looking at the different color combos and modifications on display. Any way you look at it, it’s a fun way to kill time when you’re bored at work.

That’s exactly how we found this gorgeous 2007 AP2 S2000 listed for sale on Hemmings in Addison, Illinois. According to the ad, the previous owner traded it in on an NSX. While the ad doesn’t clarify whether it’s a new NSX or an old one, either is a great choice. While we’d never trade our S2000s for anything, you have to admit that the NSX is a great car.

2007 Honda S2000

With just 2,299 miles on the odometer, this has to be among the lowest-mileage S2000s for sale anywhere. The car is simply immaculate and looks brand new. The Formula Red paint shines and sparkles like the day the original owner took it home. Obviously, there’s no fading, clearcoat peeling, or swirl marks to be found here.

There are a ton of great-looking color combos on the S2000. After seeing how well this car presents, we’d have to say that Formula Red over black is right up there with triple blue and silver over red.

Considering how low the mileage is, the $34,900 price tag seems like a downright bargain. After all, unless you’re the original owner of your car, this is as close as any of us are going to get to buying a new S2000. Maybe, if we’re lucky, Honda will revive the S2000 the way they’ve revived the NSX. Until then, this is simply as good as it gets.
