Default I am one lucky sonofabitch

swapped my cv buckets before road tripping out to chicago last week. Torqued everything to spec, vibration was gone; all was well.

So today I'm changing out the diff fluid and I see this:

The half axle is hanging on by a single bolt! The rest must have vibrated out in the last 1000 miles.

Lesson: loctite is your friend

I had 2 pc half shaft spacers on my first S. A while later, I lost a few bolts and then heard some awful noise one day. Had it towed to my work, expecting the worse, but I just needed a few bolts. Luckly also, My gf's uncle found the other half of the spacer in the driveway

Honestly, loctite isn't going to help. I've worked on thousands of cars, you didn't tighten the bolts correctly.

Every mechanic has done the same. If they say they haven't they are lying.
