Not surprising - replacement costs on the seats alone is almost 7K on their own.

Will not be long before just having the seats stolen will render a total on the 00/01 cars. Of course you could replace them with used or aftermarket for around 1k

Criminals piss me off.

You can most likely buy the car from the ins company for pennies on the dollar if you think its worth parting out what's left or selling it to a repair shop. I did this quite a few years back when I totaled my Ponti-crap. I bought it from the insurance company for $400 and sold it to a body shop for $3500.

Yes, David, I understand how totalling works. I am just flabbergasted that stolen parts off of a complete car can run over $16K. I didn't realize the seats were $3500 a piece?!?! WTF?!

Really sorry to hear about your misfortune But on a good note (like Joe and Jihan pointed out above), this is probably the best candidate for a race car if you've ever thought of building one Good luck on whatever you choose to do and hope to see the "reborn" car at the local racetracks!

Looks like i'm going to be getting an STi. Tonight and went and drove both the STi and the EVO. The STI felt as fast as my s2k, the EVO just totally turned me off.

Anyone need a V1 AEM CAI or SS test pipe? Cheap.

Also could I still bring my STi to s2k drives?
