Lubrication Engineers. I've always used Redline in my diff also, but have read good stuff about the LE607.

I've used Redline in the tranny and really liked it.

Right now im using Schaeffers's in everything (engine, tranny, and diff) and its been so far.

I think tranny oil shears a lot, and it seems like sometimes whatever people put in, is often good for a short while, and then performance drops off. I'm curious to see if that happens, but I've had excellent results with everything else Schaeffer's so...I'm optimistic.

I've never used GM Synchro Mesh, or Honda MTF, so I cant comment on those...

So, yesterday I was sitting in the Taco Bell drive-thru when I noticed that my tranny was noiser than I've ever heard it in neutral. This morning I drained the MTF to notice that it was crystal clear... like distilled water and thin. I put in my 1.5 qts of GMSMFM (because I have it on hand), and the shifting is back to surgical and the gear clatter in neutral is reduced. I have no idea what kind of fluid that was in the tranny. Even Honda's new MTF formula is slightly golden.
So, I'll call the dealer who put in the new clutch to find out, but it sure didn't look or feel like the right stuff.

...
It was ATF!
I called the dealer to let them know that it was the wrong fluid and please learn from this experience. You all need to be very careful with the fluids the dealership puts in the tranny and diff.
If I had left the ATF, which is thinner, in for a couple of track weekends, I would have had a yard sale eventually. As it was, I only put on about 250 easy road miles on before deciding to change out the MTF myself.

OMG. They put ATF in your Trans??? You need to go back to the dealer and raise hell. They should offer you an extended warranty on your trans for any longterm damage that that may have caused.

Dont think it was ATF as HONDA ATF is RED and most all ATF fluid and P/S Fluid is RED. Your clear fluid sounds like an 0w20 oil or something like that but for sure not ATF as i have 2 quarts sitting next to me and they are RED on the inside and HONDA has always used the same ATF fluid since FOREVER.

On one note NEVER run a SYNTHETIC Transmission Fluid in HONDA transmissions unless you feel like buying a new one in the future.
