Default Maint. req.

Ya so my maint. req. light came on this weekend so i went to auto zone to get the code read well nothing was read so any ideas whats going on?

Its nothing to threat about. Its just to remind you to do maintenance. They could have changed the oil 50 miles ago and not reset it therefore it will pop up. Just reset it and you are good sir.

The maintenance indicator light (MIL) is not the same as a check engine light (CEL). They're two totally separate things. The MIL is simply a reminder like Bobby said.

If I'm not mistaken it will come on every 7,500 miles or so.
The manual will tell you how to reset.... usually consists of holding down the trip reset button and something else.
If it tells you to remove your clothes and stand on your head, you are reading the wrong manual.

press and hold sel/res and the mph/kph toggle..so basically both those buttons. while doing so turn the key to the on position basically all the way over like you are about to start it but dont then keep holding buttons for 10 seconds, should beep then go off.

Sweet thanks for the tips..I know it doesn't need a oil change i just did it last Thursday..Ill try resetting it..
