For some reason my Alpine h/u won't charge my iPhone like it did my old iPhone...does anyone know why this might be the case?

Your h/u might be charging it through the firewire pins which the new 3G version doesn't use.

I haven't tested mine with my Sony iPod interface yet because I haven't had a head unit in the car for months.

I updated the firmware to 2.0.1 and all of my third party apps crashed.

Not sure what I did but a number of restarts and syncs later and it all works again.

I've been avoiding 2.0.1 for that very reason... waiting for the official 2.1

I've installed 2.0.1 and no problems. Keeps asking me for a carrier update though which never installs properly. Other than that, it's fine. Lack of copy and paste in emails is pissing me off though. I hope they rectify that in 2.1.

I can't imagine trying to find my way around New York without this iPhone. It's absolutely brilliant.

I get around 350kbps on Optus 3G. I get around the same at home on my 1500k connection as well. Only every now and then do I get anything above 1000kbps at home.

I don't use PUSH email on my iPhone and hence never saw the allure with Crackberrys. I think it's quite annoying and unproductive checking your email every 10min.
