It's a great drive that I am yet to do in my S2000. In my previous car I had the pleasure of driving from Port Campbell to Apollo Bay and only seeing two cars on a Wednesday Night after 7pm in the middle of winter.
I can confirm there is no better experience. Due to the corners I always drove at legal speed limits, but still was able to enjoy it due to the one car I caught doing the respectful pull-in, so I could pass. Why some drivers go at significantly slower speeds then hold up queues of cars I don't know.
When I drive to the snow on a road I am unfamiliar with, I pull over to let those with more experience with the road pass, so I expect the same respect...is that too much to ask...

I spent the weekend down the GOR 3 weeks ago with a group of fellow motorcycle riders.
Still a great scratching (as in scratching the pegs on the asphalt) road even for an old bastard like myself. There are not that many places you could be booked as many of the corners are fairly low speed and you'd be well under the speed limit whilst still having lots of fun.
For any other Melbourne based riders (and possibly even drivers) on the board, a little bird tells me there is a police blitz in the Kinglake / Black Spur areas this weekend so watch out and stay safe!
The turkeymeister.
