Now this is what you call service!
I am for once happy to report that the service I have been recieving at Courtney & Patterson Honda has been REALLY bloody good.
As some of you may know my 3rd gear synchro went the other week and I had to put the car in the shop. Jacob (thanks mate!! ) deliverd the car to C&P last monday as I was in Sydney. Now the problem arose when it turned out that the synchro sleeve was nowhere to be found in Australia and they had to order the parts from Japan. Now Peter (the service guy I've been dealing with) said that it will take 2 weeks to get it. Which meant that I miss out on John Bowe and all that. They also told me that my clutch had about 10000-15000 kms left (and of course with driving that translated to 5000! ). So he suggested to put a new one in and save around 600-700 bucks on labour. GREAT! Thanks again to Jacob for a new racing clutch BTW Paul was VERY impressed with the price!!! He was on teh phone today saying "How the hell did you get it for THAT much?!" hehehe
Anyway, the great thing is that they had NO problems fitting an aftermarket clutch. They've also called me every 2-3 days with updates on the progress of the parts etc. And today he called me and told me he is expecting the parts at 7:30am Monday morning, and that I will be able to pick up the car Monday arvo (fingers crossed!!!!!!) which means I CAN MAKE IT TO JOHN BOWE!!!!!!
OK I hope I didn't just jinx it!

Wish they were all like that. I had my car in yesterday to get the body repairs done. An hour after I left it I get a call saying to pick it up again as the parts (door skin) wouldn't be available for two weeks.
It surprsed me as I thought the repairer would have called Honda and ensured parts were available before asking me to bring the car in. Maybe S2k parts aren't stocked in the same way as other models are?
