Gotcha! and agreed.

I am not a McLaren fan but I would much rather have them IN the championship rather than out...BUT not under the circumstances they put themselves in.

I don't see it that way...I think it is bad for F1.

In a time when tobacco ad money is going away and F1 needs new advertisers more than ever, this is not a red carpet welcome for new people/companies.

I agree Simon, that's a clever way for Mercedes to be one more step removed which might help sell the simple renaming of McLaren as a different team to the FIA.

First we had Sauber BMW, now we'll add Prodrive Mercedes...

For F1's sake, I hope McLaren really, really dropped the bomb. B/c if the case does not have clear-cut evidence -- I'm calling consipiracy.
