Matrix good points but only correlation, not causation. Don't you agree if we gave the Spyker team free access to every bit of Ferrari information they'd still be duking it out at the back of the grid? Heh, maybe that's a good way to grow the backmarkers, buddy them up with the leaders...

True, but McLaren is hardly a backmarker team. Only small differences separate McLaren and Ferrari.

I like your idea of budding them up with the leaders...not sure if Ferrari, McLaren and BMW do though!

No, I think the drivers get to go up there. But there will be no constructor's trophy.

heres the thing its a $100 million dollars. If Mclaren wins the drivers titles and gets its cut of the tv money that will be around half of the bill to the FIA. So theres this imposing penalty reduced to much less threatening and damaging penalty. Besides if Ferrari wanted revenge they 'd go out and win the world title!

They aren't allowed to keep TV money, though, I think I read in one of the reports.

Nevermind - that $100M includes their TV earnings, as you said, plus prize money.

Still, it's $100M they could've still had in their pocket.

Where does the 100M go? Who ends up with it?
