Beyond me how a "whistleblower" can go to a competitor and not the authorities with information.
According to the man himself he did go to the FIA about the moving floor Ferrari.

Anyone else feels that Ferrari should be penalized too?

Not like Mclaren sent someone into Ferrari to steal info.
It was given by someone on the inside. Mclaren only
wrong doing is not reporting to the FIA.
Ferrari should have better security then to let employees
take HIGHLY secret info like technical data from the
facility.

I still can't help thinking that Ferrari planned this as a
plan B if they did not perform well enough to be
#1.

[QUOTE=matrix,Sep 26 2007, 08:01 AM] Right from the criminal's mouth!

NS has zero credibility left.

Sure...Ferrari controls everything in the world.....

Ferrari told MC wife to go to a print shop and copy the dossier...yay, I think that happened.

F1 is a cut throat sport with so much money involved.
Is it so hard to believe any manufacturer would do what
they can?

With everything thing being top secret with the teams,
how in the world you let an employee take hundreds of
pages technical data out of the facility?

Sorry, but it smells a little fishy.

Could have been a set-up, why not? Big corporations use "competitive intelligence" to outdo their rivals, from "imbedding" one of their employees inside to stealing/spying, etc. It's a possibility.

I'm a Ferrari fan, but I just don't understand how the FIA could hand down such a HUGE fine based on "suspicion." What kind of concrete evidence do they have besides hearsay?

At the end of the day it's NS that instigated the whole issue as an employee of Ferrari and per the FIA the teams are responsible for the actions of their employees are they not? How can you let an employee out of the office with a printed copy of the "Entire" technical dossier of your car? But Ferrari managed to escape with out penalty yet again.

The clear favoritism the FIA shows Ferrari kind makes it hard in my mind at least to just brush off what NS is saying as BS. But I do agree with you that NS isn't the benevolent savior to F1 that he is trying to paint himself as. He's clearly a man that has his own best interests in mind.

Who from Ferrari was inside at McLaren to set this all up?

But maybe you're right...NS was INSIDE of Ferrari, maybe McLaren did set this all up and had it blow up in their face...

Good point!

How are national secrets leaked? By individuals that want to harm or gain in some form...

Which is EXACTLY why NS was fired from Ferrari and is under criminal investigation along with MC.

Why haven't McLaren fired MC?

FIA favor Ferrari??? I have no idea how you can even say that after all we have seen this year....
