On another note, I turn off traction control every time I get into this car. The other night I was coming home and forgot to do it. When I was going around a freeway onramp, the traction light was flashing like crazy. I wasn't even going fast. Is TC that intrusive in this car? Very surprising unless something is wrong with mine. I wish there was an easy way to disable it for good.
Yep, once you move to a square tire setup, I have the problem where VSA kicks on during turn in (even when I'm quasi putzing around). On the old staggered tire setup it wasn't nearly as bad and I didn't have to turn it off on the street. I think as Tut pointed out it's just the way the system was programmed. With the square setup the car turns in amazingly well (with almost a hint of oversteer) to the point that if you were to lift throttle on turning in, I wouldn't be surprised if the rear came around in some instances. I think VSA "senses" this and prevents it.
Well good to know that it's not just me. I can live with that.

Yea I did a search on the flash pro thing and it seems like it doesn't really do anything. I read someone turned it off, but the light would still flash.
I thought you've been running a square setup for a while now..? I don't bother modifying anything in flashpro as hondata tells you not to and it could behave strangely. I just push the button every time I hop in.

Yeah no way to get rid of VSA from what I have found. It is basically turn in prevention with square setup and good brakes.

J's Type S hood. The front isn't closed all the way because of my Mugen Intake. Still deciding if I should just sell this and look for an Amuse/ASM hood or just cut this one. I really do like it, except for the contrast. I'll probably end up painting it yellow too.

And the car is ready for Laguna Seca tomorrow. Last time there I ran 1:45's. I'm really hoping for 1:42-3's this time. Running better tires (RE71R) and lots of weight loss since last time.

Have you looked into the other J's type V hood it accomodates the intake with a raised hump?

I prefer the simple designs where there's a single opening near the front of the hood. Like this one, amuse, and asm.

I'd like your opinion on the brake setup after the trackday, now that you lost weight.

Awesome build by the way, keep it up!
