Need a New Stereo?
Where in Sacramento can I get a new head unit, speakers and maybe an amp?
Would like to hear the stereo when going more than 65 mph.

Amazon? Any aftermarket head unit is going to supply more power than the stock radio. So you should be able to hear your music at 65mph+ (top up). Top down, you're going to need an addition amp. What you should do is by the Modifry DCI and Speed Controlled Volume feature.
In addition to more power, I really wanted to find a head unit that could change the color of the LEDs to amber to match the rest of the interior lights. Something you might consider.
Cheers,
Alex

My S still has the oem radio. so I just order this set (see the pic) but I have not got a chance to install it so I cannot provide you with more insight info as far as hearing the music going at 65mph. I will be installing it this weekend and then give you more info.

How about a shop to install the new stereo, I called a couple but they have not worked on any S2000's. I don't care to much about price(have a budget of $1700)and all I want is to be able to hear my radio at speed with the top down(its down 99% of the time).

Take a look at this stealth build by a shop in the Bay Area called Simplicity in Sound.
Again, if you want to listen to music, top down while driving freeway speed, you're gonna need more power.
Email them for a quote. I'm unsure if the build I linked is considered a basic one, but I was quoted $2500 for one.
That's definitely a build I want, clean and subtle.

I found Rolling Audio in Roseville, they say they have done more than 90 S2000's. They did our S in one day(head unit, amp, speakers) we can hear our radio at any speed now with the top down. Very happy with the work they did. I told them that I wanted to hear my music even going 80 with the top down, they delivered. All looks stock except the head unit and sounds great. Highly recommend Rolling Audio.
