Some numbers:
(C7 Corvette Stingray with Z51 Package $2,000 more than base price, which is $52k):

2014 Corvette Stingray Z51
Acceleration from 0-60 MPH: 3.8 seconds
¼ mile acceleration: 12 seconds @ 119 mph
Braking distance from 60 to 0 MPH: 107 feet
Maximum lateral acceleration: 1.03 G
VIR 'Grand Course' Lap: 2:51.78

This is just insanity at this price...

I saw those figures at AB as well. My big question is who did the testing? If it's GM then we should expect the figures to get even better, as manufacturers' numbers are always conservative.

Seeing those #'s almost makes me want to place an order! Actually, I still do, but will try to resist at least a year or two while the car improves and selling prices drop.

Judging from the last gen ZR1, I'm going to go out on a limb and say Pilot Super Sport Cups for those numbers.

Even so, that Camaro rear end is killing me. But for the price, you do get alot of car.

woah woah chris,

you just bought a c5z! lol,
but your right, performance AND price #s got me like WTF???!

Corvette is and always will be bang for the buck BEST sports car out there. And to those of you looking at this thread, $21-26k will get you a c5z that is mint <30k miles. Also a great ride!!! Only car id upgrade to is a late model c6 or a c6z.

Actually, I picked my C5Z over an '08 C6 Z51. I would have likely picked different for a street car, but feel the C5Z was the obvious choice in a track car.
