no, I know several guys who have roadraced S2000s, EVOs, vettes, Beemers, and FDs, and they all agree the vette is a big car, and it feels like it on the track
I love the vette, but it's never going to be a nimble track weapon, just forget it, it's a big, stable sports car, well suited for cruising and open sweepers, not mountain switchbacks or tighter tracks....it also looks like the back end was chopped off with a meat cleaver

Interesting.
To me it feels big on the highway, while cruising. When I start to push the car, especially on the track, it tends to shrink.
It's not a "lightweight" car by anyone's definition, but it corners pretty flat and the brakes seem more than capable of hauling it down from speed. It can also carry good corner speeds and does have a surprising ammount of lateral grip.
I have personally seen 1.18g on the built-in G-meter on OEM Runflat tires. This was at Blackhawk Farms raceway in Rockford, IL. I was able to replicate the reading at Autobahn Country Club's track in Joliet, IL. I believe it is capable of more on the OEM tires, but I just couldn't seem to get there personally.

I had a '94 Z28 that felt huge when I got it (from a '90 CRX Si), but I got used to it. I'm sure the same would happen if I owned a C6, but I still don't think they're that much fun at lower speeds.
I went for the "all thrills, no frills package" myself. My 1lt LS3/z51/6sp/NPP is a blast, and there isnt anything in the interior package that I miss. Im sure a 1lt or 2lt is nice, but its all weight to me.
The interior is not porsche, but one ride in mine (on some back roads) made a buddy drop his porsche for a 08 c6 vert in less than 2 weeks.
I love my s2k, but a couple hundred more horsepower and a ton more torque make for a more enjoyable daily drive. Lock the NPP open full time and dont worry about ever turning on the stereo again.

Thanks. Fitchner has the jetstream blue 2LT MN6 Z51 NPP for $45,800. Not bad. But, I also found this one: http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?ct=u...&standard=false. It looks to be a 2LT with Z51 and NPP. If it had the titanium interior, I'd be on my way to pick it up (maybe they'd go to $38,XXX?). I really do like the two-tone interiors. My first choice would probably be atomic orange (I said earlier that I wasn't a fan, but I have come full-circle on the color) with cashmere. Jestream blue with titanium would be nice too.
No they seriously are.

I didn't mean to imply that it felt heavy, didn't corner or brake well, etc.

After a CRX, a ride in a shopping cart would seem spacious.
370Z Base: 3232lbs
Corvette Coupe base: 3217lbs
Corvette Z06: 3180lbs
Yes, the Corvette is sooooo damn heavy, considering it has 2 more cylinders then the 370Z, and is 7" overall longer, 0.2" wider, and 1.9" shorter.

The back end of the C6 is beautiful. In fact the design team did an outstanding job on the exterior of the car. Some people will never get past the Chevy. What an outstanding car it is, for the price, phenomenal. There are many S2000 to C6 converts on here, rarely do I hear them complain about much of anything.
