i am planning on autocrossing and doing several different track events this year and i am in the market for a digital camcorder, i want the best for the money, in other words i don't want to drop $1200 on a top of the line sony, but i would like something digital that i could manipulate with my laptop, ect. any suggs.

 

I'd go with either the low-end Sony or Canon MiniDV unit. Then get a ConeCam from www.conecam.com to shoot the actual video with. With that, you can get just about every camera angle imaginable.
