CAR magazine, latest issue full of interesting information Z, GT-R, WRXsti, EVO VIII
This issue is particularly jam packed with interesting information. Some of the notable points are...
The Z and RX8 were tested together and the Z is the better sports car while the RX8 has better interior design and materials. The RX8 is 6.5 sec to sixty, about a second slower than the Z.
An article on Nissan's Carlos Ghosn details that the Z is to have a performance upgrade in 2005 and that the GT-R with a turbocharged V8(!!!!) will be introduced sometime in 2003.
The WRXsti was tested to 60 in 4.6 seconds although the car was described as being rather rough around the edges.
The EVO VIII was tested to 60 is 5.3 seconds, very respectable.
The WRX sti at 4.6 sec to sixty is solidly in supercar category as far as go fast performance is considered but it does need a major face lift. It is nice to know however that in this golden age of the sports car one can spend less than 35K and buy a 4 passenger, 4 door "family sedan" that can run with almost any dedicated ultra sports car in the world!! True, it is not the best looking car in the world but it does have a whole lot of the right stuff.
I hope that the NSX and the S2000 would receive some power upgrade soon. It seems that the competition has been working overtime. I feel that it is not enough for Honda to just sit content with the status quo.
Honda has the technology and the racing experience to raise the performance bar once again, I hope they do and soon.

Car magazine i think almost always estimates..... see picture below....it says 0-62 in 5.3 (est)....therefore I would imagine the STI #'s were estimated too......
Just sticking up for my soon to be Evolution

they said the same damn thing about the evo over here in the states... but hey i dont think they know how to launch an awd car... cause the 7 got low to mid 4's in 0-60 and mid to high 13's in the 1320 .... so how can it be changed this much by losing 6 hp .... i personally think these fools dont know how to drive... =)

I have only driven the cobra about 150 miles (to get it home), but it sure as hell seems fast so far.
