Airgate,

You always post the best pics. Thanks for those rare 02 Black NSX.

So true about NSX owners progressing on to Porsche owners. My friend Peter had a white NSX Modified and sold it to get a brand new Carerra Cabriolet. However, his oil change went up to $250+ for an oil change on a flat 6?????That is just so ridiculous. So I guess you can count that as a comparative advantage for the NSX.

Damn, Tan...just when I almost had enough pennies saved up for a 911, I discover that I can't afford to change the oil! Sucks to be an underfunded Porsche/Ferrari admirer!

Well, the German magazine Sport Auto ran the new NSX Type R at the Nurburgring Nordschliefe with a Porsche 996 Carrera. And guess what? The NSX Type R won. The time? 8 minutes 9 seconds versus 8 minutes 17 sec.

And I swear I read within the last week or two of someone doing 7 min 56 seconds in one. Since I cannot now find the article I'll have to say that I suspect the car was not OEM.

Just thought I'd throw mud in the 'fight'.
