I'm more or less saying, a Dyno can tell the truth. Give 4 seperate numbers for each wheel even.

Get some dynos #s from Dyna-packs. Fuel this fued even more!

EvO power is allways multiplied by two and then devided by the square root of 4. black magic

Bench racing is funny, especially when you take experiences from a bad track driver in one car vs a good driver in another and call it fact.

No offense, but you're wrong on this matter. An Evo 8/9 will destroy an S2000, from a dig or a roll, even at the same whp on the same dyno. The Evo has far better gearing, a better power band, and hardly weighs much more than the S2000 (300-400 lbs).. my Evo weighed 3000 lbs with half a tank of fuel in it. I've owned both an S2000 and a 500 whp Evo... no 500 whp S2000 will feel as fast. The Evo has no wheelspin problems, the gearing is more aggressive, and it has monster mid-range and top end depending on how you spec the turbo.

You'd have to get the S2000 on a really good turbo that offers similar mid-range/top end punch, get rid of wheel spin... it's just pointless to compare. It takes so much more work to make an S2000 compete with an Evo in a straight line. And unlike an S2000, you can put a ton of power in an Evo and it's a dream to manage on a track/around corners. You can easily mod the rear diff to get oversteer etc.

Plus, high whp Evo's are far faster than high whp S2000's (700-1000 whp) because of AWD and traction. A 600+ whp Evo is a LOT of fun. I'll be building my next one for 700+ whp with 400+ wtq at around 3500 RPM and 500+ wtq around 4300 RPM. It's just an amazing platform to put a lot of power into and still be able to go around corners without worrying about traction like you'd have to with an S2000.

That being said, with a nice GTX30r and an AP2's 2.2L, you could get great spool on an S2000 and try to emulate the Evo's awesome stock frame-esque powerband.

Are we really debating this? Did everyone become 12 years old again?
