Ford Shelby GT350

It may be the perfect commuter car for people with money to burn. No, seriously, hear me out. When driving in traffic, the ability to get the heck out of the way is very important. If my lane closes and the lane next to me is zooming right along, most cars require their drivers to either stay in their lane or dart out into an opening in traffic and cut about a billion people off as you struggle to accelerate up to speed. When I drive to work in my Corvette, there is basically no issue with cutting people off. If they're going 60 and I'm still, I just pop over into an opening, and I'm going faster than they are before they get anywhere near my car.

I have a 16 GT with performance pack that I really like. Once I find a Gt350 locally for MSRP or less I think I will upgrade to one of those. Local dealer has one in stock but 12k markup on it.
The new Mustangs of course feel a lot bigger and heavier than an S2000 but so does pretty much everything else. New Mustang and Mustang GT350 are really hard to beat in the bang for the buck sports car market.
Suspension work goes a long way on the new Mustangs as well. I'm sure the GT350 stock suspension is a lot better than GT though.

Honestly, if anyone is looking to buy a GT350, they're selling them for $2K under MSRP here in Edmonton, AB. You shouldn't have to pay any import tax to the US - just some basic fees - and there are plenty to choose from.

$72,713 CAD = $56,400 USD (roughly) at today's currency rates. USD is down about 2% over the last few days - if it shoots up, you're looking at about $55K for the car, plus taxes and fees.
I'm more than willing to assist a buyer from the USA.

The 2017s are the ones you want unless you get a track pack 16.

I thought the issue with cars from Canada was that their warranty would not be honored once imported into the United States...

Ford warranties transfer across the border. They're valid for USA-to-Canada sales so I'd imagine it'll work the opposite way too.
