How is there no thread on this car? Anyway press embargo lifted on Toyota's newest demonstration on how much their dealers hate customers.

I love this car, but I am really getting burned out on all these great cars that will basically be freaking impossible to buy.
Definite 1st world problem, but I really expended a lot of physical, mental, and emotional energy on "fighting" for the Escalade V (success) and C8 Z06 (not successful yet with super low production numbers and closed allocations for 2023). The Blackwing was also not the easiest car to get and was a rollercoaster even though I had a reservation for it. That wasn't so much knowing I'd get one, but the term that was coined on the V boards was "goat rodeo." Just a clusterf with ordering, constraints, allocations, production, and then a long a** wait for a lot of people for transportation logistics to the dealer so it could eventually be delivered.
Also, can't get a Raptor R unless you want to pay 50-100 over and/or you know the president of Ford personally. A bunch of other vehicles like that now. I can't even get the a-holes at the local Porsche dealer to respond to my emails now when I have a significant trade-in tax credit with them and need to get something ordered or lose the credit. Then, just all the other BS out there in the car market, I'm just kind of worn out.
So, when I see a new bada** car like the Corolla GR come out, I'm like, "cool car, but I'm not going to waste much time thinking about it."

I also put a deposit down at an MSRP dealership, back on April 1st. First in line for a CE. Fingers crossed that this dealership gets one (they should, Raleigh is a large market).
https://pressroom.toyota.com/first-e...out-this-fall/
I agree with Corey though, and don't understand why the automakers keep pumping out this special models when they don't even have the ability to get them to customers.

I'm also down for a CE (heavy metal), #2 on the list at the highest volume dealer in the state, and MSRP only. They received 2 Launch Supras so I'm guaranteed a CE, we just don't have any control over if we get the color we want or when.

Am I allowed to say it looks fun but ugly? Or maybe even butt ugly.
Having owned a couple cars that were marketed as beefed up economy rockets I can say they don't tend to hold up like other cars. Hard pass.

Not much choice in the AWD game if you want 6MT, Turbocharged, and diffs. 2 whole cars and the Golf R user interface is trash. I’m down for BMW to make the new M2 coupe AWD with a 6MT. I’d be first in line.
So this is it with a manual. Next step up is a C4S.
