i'm considering an AUDI what does everyone think of that?
I remember they did a test on motorweek or some show on speed vision of the 3 series Xi i dont remember if it was 323,328,325,or 330 but they said that the Xi's AWD actually had less traction/grip than the RWD! How is that possible?
I have a Passat GLX. The price difference between this car and an A4 with similar features is ~ 10,000.

As I told Suz last night, I walked away thinking that there's not enough difference in these cars to justify the price difference. They are very similar except for minor differences in power, features, and trim.
Newly knowledgable, I think I'd go Passat before A4.

Audi's are awesome cars, some of my very favorite. My dad has an Allroad and it is just superb in every way. I'd suggest the new S4, though, if you can wait. I'm not a huge fan of the 1.8T, particularly in the longtitudinal mounting. I thought the NVH charactersitcs were supbar, and that the flywheel effect shifting gears was nasty. This was on the previous gen 1.8TQ so things may be better now, but honestly, I felt the V6 was the better (but less tunable) way to go.
I'd also very much consider the new Mitsubishi EVO when it comes out next spring. It'll offer crushing all road performance.
