I would agree 100% Scot ... their is NO way in hell the S2000 can hang with the EVO in Acceleration, braking and ESPECIALLY handling. I am sure it is very difficult for an S2000 owner to imagine this but it is TRUE....

FOUND something the S2000 has over the EVO .... gas mileage ...

can I say "holly Shit" ... my EVO just got UNDER 16mpg... guess I need to stay out of the boost sometime !!!

Again, our opinions here are subjective but I think some of the EVO camp is coloring their perspective a bit with a bias that comes from recently making the switch from one camp to a new one.

As someone with experience in both cars, I can

I attended several Porsche Club Autocross event over the summer with a friend of mine. He owns a 2003 911 C4S.
He was constantly after me to give the autocross thing a try. I never did try it because after watching the difficulty almost all the owners of S2000's had with their cars I chickend out. I would say this poor showing effected 6 out of the 7 S2000's racing at various events throughout the summer. The only S2000 that did good did VERY well and was about as fast as my friends 911 C4S. This particular S2000 had racing slicks & a few other suspension mods.

Now obviously this is not really a DIRECT indication of the S2000 handling but really an indication of driver experience or should I say INEXPERIENCE.

I would guess that 90% of people driving this car will never be able to extract any where near the full handling potential of the car. I would bet that I could take the EVO on the course and probably drive the car at its limits much easier.

Again these are just my thoughts, besides their really is no way to prove 100% that the EVO is a better handling car than an S2000.

Just that in the hands of a few the full handling potential of an S2000 can be realized and in the hands of many the EVO's potential can be tapped.

You need to get into an evo for an extended period of time. The tires on both are similar sticky and wear out in a similar amount of time...so it is not the tires.... I have no idea if the awd helps the evo, but....... at summit point there is a huge front straight and my S2000's have been faster in speed (130mph vs 125ish for the evo)... but the evo ended up being about 2 seconds per lap faster (electronically timed)...... same thing at beaverun which is a tighter track.... evo was about 2.5 seconds faster than my S2000....

not trying to put the S2000 down, but the Evo is a pretty good car... try one for more than 10 minutes and you will see.

Hmmm. . .a night-time picture could have you in the holiday photo contest!

Looks great, congrats on your new Evo. Reignman, a Carolina S2000 owner, recently purchased a new Evo (RED). You guys should talk.

but I wanna sell mine

700 miles

excellent/new condition

$27500 OBO

I bought it for the same reason, most people get rid of their S2000's.
AWD and Turbo

I have a new job, with a company car, and I really don't need it.
