Because the Z4M is a piece of shit.
That's my opinion and I know i'll catch hell for insulting BMW on this forum, but...BMW blows donkey. They will never get my money.

Also, not surprised to see how the S in your signature is set up after your quoted post. Not surprised at all.

It's far from a piece of shit.
And this is coming from someone who owned 3 S2000s.
Looks a bit photoshopped (shadows) and there is no point to this car. I don't get the hype about the s2k having low torque numbers, etc etc. I've never had a problem with it on the road course (I'm an amateur driver, so that relates to most of the s2ki people) and nor have I ever wanted more power in canyon runs (have no trouble keeping up with cars producing higher "numbers" than the s2k while not even getting in the high rpms). On freeways, after I'm up to speed, it's not like I slow down and then speed up again just to feel the "torque"
I cruise at a certain speed, and if I had to pass somebody, the revs are fairly high at freeway speeds, plus I'm already traveling faster than they are anyway so not like I need to accelerate a lot more.. Even on lights, it's not like I need to wind the car up to 8k rpm just to get to normal road speeds or keep up with traffic. I don't even have to take it to half that and I end up with fairly good gas mileage.
Most of the "lack of torque" hype is just that, hype. Yes, in some situations, having low end torque would be good, but normal driving (daily driving) doesn't present many of those situations and the argument becomes scarcely relevant. Yes, realistically s2ks don't have low end torque, but we do have high redline which compensates for the low end torque deficiency.
Besides, if it bothers you that much, buy a Z, or a mustang/camaro/gto, etc..

Z4M is a superior sports car than the S2000.
By what definition ? Superior because it has a blue propeller badge or for the fact it costs more ?

how can a car have an engine off an AWD and not be AWD? thats like trying to put a s2k engine on a civic
The motor has nothing to do with the drive wheels. Furthermore an f20 has been placed into a civic before.

The S2000 is awesome for what it is, but it isn't the best ever of anything in the universe. It's purely a performance car that is bested by all kinds of cars from all kinds of companies. That doesn't devalue it, it places it on a spectrum. There are superior cars at everything the S2000 does well. That's why people can afford them. If it was better than all other cars ever, hands down, it would cost more than all other cars ever.

Superior interior, superior engine, aguably superior suspension, and yes, it has a BMW badge. Surprisingly, some people don't see added value in buying a car from the same people who made their lawnmower. They appreciate a little focus from their manufacturer.

100% I never understood why people complained about low end torque. I never have a problem with it during my daily drives.
