You need to calm the **** down and tone down your excitement and love for this car for a sec.
Just what the fck do you mean the engine is from TL? **** like I didn't know that? My biggest complaints are its ridiculous low redline, when s2k's one of the biggest charms is it's high revving engine. I could seriously care less about the torque and power this car makes because it simply isn't the reason I bought s2k for.
Your statement that S2000 has always lacked hp and torque is seriously retarded. People who decided to go ahead and buy s2k knew this before purchasing. People still decided to purchase it because of such fun factor and nimbleness the car offered.
Even if Honda built this, I'm sure the next thing you'd be crying about is pricing

This is a great combination. TQ and S2000 in the same car. Amazing. I remember driving the accord rental v6 was fun. I bet this car is a blast. Probably more fun to drive than my Kraftwerks powered s2k.
I once saw an article with a Triumph Spitfire with an S2000 engine.
Now THAT would get my money (if I had any
).
This V6 S2K is a cool proposal nonetheless. I think folks would find it an interesting alternative to the 370Z.

you missed his point. your original post said it was SH-AWD. nowhere in the article did it state that, it just said thats where the motor was transplanted from. and yes we knew how much hp/tq it had before we purchased it, duh, but more would be greatly appreciated by some of us. i like that you yell at him to calm down and yet your post is the most off the handle by far.
The idea itself is nice, and after driving S for prolonged period of time, you do feel the lack of torque. But then again, when you are able to take your S to its potential in spirited driving revving all the way to 8~9k rpm, no way I'd wanna sacrifice anymore of it.

s2000 + more power + AWD = best car ever..
Yeah I forgot who said it but why not just a get 370z. I drove it, drives real nice, has a lot of the visceral feeling of the S, and I'm sure once Honda does everything they need to do to make it a production/consumer friendly package, the weight will be close to the Z anyway.

It doesn't say anything about AWD, which is good, since that would add several hundred pounds, dull the steering, and skew the handling balance towards understeer.
