Just as an Elise is compromised b/c it's not a 4-door and it's not full of luxury.
The M5 is compromised. You can put a lot of HP into a car but if it's 4000+ lbs it's still heavy and thus IMO compromised.
The ultimate sports car would be something like the Elise track car. The ultimate Luxury sedan would be something like the 750iL and the M5 is somewhere in-between but a lot closer to the 750iL (IMO)
