Keep test-driving and taking time, then buy what your heart tells you to.
Do this and you WILL end up with the S2000. So to save time...

If a vette slammed into him, wouldn't it be the vette's fault?

Was your bro street racing a vette, lost control, and crashed into the vette?

Get another S and smack your bro in the head.

I advise you to get the Z. Don't kill another S2000.

No they were not street racing. Here is what happened:

My brother was driving down the HWY and the traffic ahead came to a sudden stop and my Bro got on the brakes (He was in the fast lane of a two lane HWY). The first thing he did as he was slowing down was look in his rear view mirror and noticed that the Vette (Brand new Vette, still had the paper plates) was coming at him pretty fast so he got into the slow lane to try to avoid getting rear ended. While this was happening the Vette was trying to slow down but was going pretty fast and the Vette went off the shoulder on the left side of the HWY hit some lose gravel and ended up losing control and did a 180 across the HWY straight at my Brother. My brother, trying to avoid damaging my car and trying to avoid T-boning the Vette went off on the right side shoulder. The Vette ended up in someones back yard and my brother would have been in the clear but there was a big boulder waiting for him on the shoulder which pretty much took out the right side of my car. Luckily he did not flip over. The car is totalled but the claim adjusters are trying to determine who's fault it is. Either way I will still get market value for my car in the area I live in. If they determine the Vette is at fault I will not have to pay a detucable. If they are both at fault I will owe $500.00 for the deductable (Which my Bro will pay). My payoff is $10,600.00 and I live in the Napa Valley so there is not many S2000's here so there is not much negotiating on the dealer prices. I looked up Kelly Blue Book value and came up with $26,400.00. This was for 03', execellent condition (Which it was) and with 44,000 miles. So I may or may not get this value. I will find out sometime this week what they come up with.

Never get a Nissan, you will have nothing but problems!
Well that was insightful...

2005 with 31,000 miles, love it as much today as when I picked it up brand new with 20 miles.

Well, since it was my little bro who got into the accident my Mom is freaking out. You know how that goes.
Let me just say I get it...

Keep in mind, as you have "learned your lesson" and he will not be driving your car again, plus you have seen just how solid the S really is, I too would say don't abandon the S just because you think another car will be safer.

I too like the 350Z, but I'm not so sure I would buy one over a S.

Slap your brother, don't listen to a chick about cars even or especially your Mom. Get an NSX. Don't shy away from the z if you like it.

Given the new and improved engine and lower base price of the Z, I'd take it over the S2000. When they first came out I would have chosen the S2K, but it has remained pretty much the same while the Z has gotten some great improvements.

Whatever...

I would gladly listen to this one, any day of the week

I was lucky enough to go to the Indy F1 race this year as a guest of Shell/Ferrari.

Oh I forgot to mention, the BEST part of the experience was meeting Lisa Lilley, Shell's Ferrari F1-Project Manager. She's a cutey:

Sad, but extremely true.
Too bad we are listening, but Honda is not...

Maybe you should ask yourself "If I still had my S would I trade it for a Z?" If so.. Then get the Z.

I'd suggest driving the EVO and STi. Its a whole other driving feel and just as much fun.. Just in another way. You may like it and you may not, just see what's best for you. A brand new EVO9 RS can be had for just a few grand more.

Good luck on you're decision
