You can buy c5 Z06 sub 30K all day long as well.

Evo IX....with less than a $1000 you can run mid to low 12's @ 110mph+ on pump gas.
terminators are great if all you want is a straightline rocket...but the Evo has cheap to mod, good power potential, and agile steering + awd handling to boot.
the STi is very similar to the Evo, esp. the 07 which responds to mods better. however it's still more expensive to mod (though the 07 is much closer)
