Google is better than just posting the best possible numbers your friends brag about. The GTO qualified for the Gas Guzzler tax for christ sake. Bragging about gas mileage on a car that cost an extra grand for how much gas it used seemed a little silly. Nothing personal Jimmies...

But I'm done... I'd assumed that since the RX-8 did so poorly on gas mileage, that a twin turbo RX-7 had to be worse, but I didn't google here. Luckilly no one actually did google the S2000, it would have really put the hole in my argument:

I'm surprised we didn't get the gas guzzler tax.

VTEC overrated? Hmm... I guess that's why every car company started to use variable valve timing after Honda started it...

Honda was nowhere near being the first to use it.

That's the price you pay for having an 8000RPM redline

i-Vtec is not superior to Vtec when looking for performance.

iVtec = Economy Vtec. That's why the S2000 never got it.

Porsche VarioCam Plus is pretty good.

No.

I-VTEC helps low end power, which is why you feel less of a power increase when the tack hits 6000RPMs in the Civic SI.

Apple doesn't exactly make the best mp3 players either. o0
Ipods sell because of all the advertising apple does. If you want sound quality you're better off with something like iAudio.

Lol, pwnd.
I don't know why I engage in this dumb battle of who created vvt technology, ugh. I forgot that honda made their own and named it vtec, and therefore if gives credibility to the statement that honda invented vvt. You could say that they were one of the pioneers of vvt and probably have the most famous system name, but invent noooo. It's like saying toyota invented the hybrid car with the prius and named their system synergy drive despite honda's insight debuting first.

I think you missed my point. Being credited to popularizing something is not the same as inventing something. As mentioned, hybrid technology was not invented by Toyota (it was actually invented earlier in the 20th century to help cars accelerate faster, but died out immediately after the first modern transmissions were invented). You can't deny that everybody is gaga over hybrids because of the Prius.
