What car would you sell the S for?

When you say "given my situation in life", I'm assuming you mean realistically given my current budget, etc.

I've recently been thinking about buying a truck to tow the S2000 to the track and other duties around the house, and even those are ~40K new.

Good point there. Except that it's on its third Sears battery. Actually, thining about it some more, I probably wouldn't replace it with anything at all since we already have two S2000s in the family.

Honestly, my car doesn't make sense to sell or trade-in anymore due to the value of the car. I feel the car is much more valuable than what anybody could realistically offer me.
That being said, one car that I'd think about moving to from the S would be a C6. Also possible would be a 335i or Elise.

I am planning to get a Porsche in a couple of years (pending fiance/wife's approval).
Of course I want to get an Italian exotic but I don't ever see myself making enough dough to buy one

Get a $10k used Tacoma, a $4k sportbike, and $1k in gear - you have your insanely fast track vehicle, your tow vehicle, and your general haul-boat-and-camping-gear-and-other-crap-around vehicle for very little money.

In my current situation, I'd probably go with a used Boxster S/Cayman S or C6, possibly even an Elise. I'd still prefer a supercharged S2000 over those cars, though, I think.
Money no object (within reason), I'd be looking for a GT3, C6 Z06, or even a new M3 or something (more practical for a family guy).
If I could buy any car (but couldn't sell it), I'd get a Carrera GT all the way. Nothing else moves me like that car, except a McLaren F1 (and that's a lot more finicky).

that's a hard one. i plan to keep mine, supercharge it, and maybe ten years down the road actually replace it.
what i'd like to do is get a very nice GT car (ideally an aston martin but cheap--guess i'll have to find a compromise... ) for DD and get a dedicated track and/or canyon toy such as an old F3 car, a 7 replica, etc. that way, i can smile on my commute and be comfortable at the same time, but when i really want to take a fast, exciting drive, i'd just take the toy car to the track.
i'd still want to keep the S--or at least have a nimble convertible--as a weekend/canyon car if it the toy is track only and the GT car doesn't fill that void. i guess i'll see.
