What to do: Entering turn too fast with RWD

Usually when I'm entering a turn somewhat too fast, I simply end up lifting off the gas a bit and steer through the turn a couple car widths off the apex. Totally kills my exit speed, but oh well.
If I enter a turn way too fast, all I can do is hope that when I go off I don't damage anything. Just straighten up the car so you don't loop it and hit the inside of the turn sideways.

I don't think all cars, even if they are all RWD will react the same. Just to give you an example, if I went into a corner way hot on my S2K, and I lifted completely, then the car will 99% spin around...no question about it. If I would have, on the other hand, enter the same corner too hot on my 300ZXTT, all I had to do is let off completely and apply a "little" break until I made it pass the corner.
The S2000 is NOT as forgiving as other cars. I often enter corners too "hot" on the S2K due to is overinspiring characteristics but what I have noticed is that if you lift just a bit, you can help the car steer a lot quicker and right before the rear gives out, make sure you apply enough gas to get you out of trouble.....that is my 02. What works for me, does not necessarily will work for you.
