I did my ARDS test at Cadwell having never dirven there before.
Great track, quite technical but you have a distinct advantage.
When you have a practice before the race, simply follow the car in front. You'll be at a similar pace and you can learn the lines in a few laps.
But......and this is a big but........ do a few laps with a gap in front of you to make sure the track has stuck in your grey matter. Usually works

Actually saying that the best use of time would be to go and look at a few cars.............hmmmmmm
I did that in my first ever race at Donington.
Followed the car straight off at Hollywood.
Not recommended. Learn your own lines and braking points, then forget them completely during the race and be amazed that you just saw a chequered flag in what feels like 30 seconds since the start.
Ralston, I'm not sure I want to share a car with you with advice like that......

Rich's approach isn't necessarily bad; you have to discren between someone who looks like they know what they're doing and a complete numpty.
Unless it's me - I start off looking liek the former, then get fatigued and forget WTF I am and end up taking the scenic route...
There are a mixture of classes in the NSSCC, which accounts for the difference in cars - the kits have their own class, and there are classes for the 'money no object' boys too.
We'll be in either the 2.0 or the 1.6 production classes as they are the best subscribed (so we're more likely to get a race with someone) and we won't get caught up in an expensive horsepower arms race - I'm leaning towards the 1.6 as Ralston can't do as much damage with 130bhp.......in theory.
All we have to do now is organise ourselves enough to go out and buy something.
