Not been here for a while, since letting of the S2000, so apologies for only skim reading the last few pages.
I had one of these before the last S2000, and it was mint.
The whole ethos of the car was the light engine, giving a lovely 50:50 weight split and sublime handling (the main reason for not putting in the turbo'd MPS lump). I seem to remember the steering being particularly sweet. The peaky rear-wheel drive nature also appealed, but then I guess we're all in the same boat there!
I must confess I did "get rid" very quickly when I thought the prices was nose-diving. At the time I thought it was because of the very high running costs, but I see now that no-one wants to touch them becuase of reliability concerns. From my point of view, the engine was as strong on the day I sold it as it was new.
It did let me down a couple of times though. The engine flooding issue is well-known about. Not a huge issue if you know how to prevent and deal with it if it does happen. It also started to rust(!) -esp the boot lid. Finally, the auto-leveling HID sensor went (also due to corrosion) and the parts were hundreds of pounds out of warranty.
Definitely miss the thing though. True four-seater (not like the fibber of a car I have now!).
OP, enjoy it!

That's it, in a nutsert.
I understand it was actually EPS. It's actually one of the best then, and shows just how rubbish modern cars are set up. Probably because they've got too many pointless SUV & MPV spin-offs to engineer as well.
