The S has all the ingredients to be every bit as good as (and in most cases better than) most modern performance cars if by modern you mean motors that came out in the last few years.

Or were you refering to the 'supercar' variety? Even with these sorts of cars the S could hold its own in the twisties with a good driver behind the wheel.
