Mum has a mk2 mx5 (1.8S) for a mesely £2k! (although guess this is a sports car...)
Dad has a 52 plate 530i sports touring, full Msport, every option for a handsome £5k (and that was 12 months ago!).
I helped them find both and have something of a reputation for finding the family cars now...they are both pleased as punch with their purchases, having come from a Honda Accord and Renault traffic!

Both excellent cars. I've had experience with a 530i M-sport of the same vintage, it still holds a dear place in my heart and they still turn my head when I see them. I'd strongly consider one when I have to be a bit more grown up!
