Had this conversation yesterday - it's probably that they don't want to admit fault until the officials state that they are at fault in case there are any financial / point / rule complications or penalties afterwards.
There's been a few of these incidents lately (i.e. people going through the red light under safety cars), and Rosberg (who the Hamilton haters all seem to love) did exactly the same thing. Arguably Rosberg was the bigger muppet as being further behind he had more warning.
Both have been given a 10 place penalty for the next race BTW.
What's a bit of a shame is that Raikonnen and Kubica had gone out side by side and stopped side by side at the end of the pit lane. So we were about to see a mini Grand Prix start between two of the top drivers. That would have been interesting.
I'm sure most racers are of questionable integrity.
Look at Schumacher who crashed into Damon hill one year and Jacques Villeneuve the next to try and take the championship. Senna took out prost. etc etc.
Hamilton shouldn't be put on a pedestal of integrity because he doesn't deserve it. Nor does he deserve the slagging he gets when he puts a foot out of line.
His biggest problem IMO is he talks to the press too much. I don't think its a glory hunting thing, i think he thinks he's giving something back to the fans. But either way its making him too much of a target in each direction for the press.
Crux of it for me is he is a very talented driver who is the best chance we've got at the moment of a British driver winning the world championship. Whether he is the next all time driving god is irrelevant for me. I just want to see him do well and give us a home grown driver to support.

I was dissapointed to see the slating that he is getting in todays papers.
with Lower.I don't know the circumstances to the incident you mention Steven, he may have been provoked etc etc. But every minor incident he's been involved in before being in F1 will be dredged up and used against him, i'm sure. I shall judge him on his track performance.
He's good. But he's no Senna. And the fact he's desperately trying to emulate him just sickens me further. I can't wait till Bruno Senna actually makes it to F1, so that the Senna comparisons can be aimed at someone slightly more appropriate.
