i've been offered an 04 plate evo viii mr fq 300 by a dealer. 12 months warranty. 12 months MOT. 13,000 miles. gun metal grey.

Hi Billy, sorry I missed this post!

Pete, that one isnt an MR and its done quite a few miles. MR's do go for a good bit more than a standard one.

I wanted to buy it but the guy wouldnt let it go there and then - he wanted to take the plate off it meaning collection 3 weeks later. That is not very clever IMO. He also kept changing his mind on selling it.

If your buying it make sure you put it in 4th at low speed and floor it as he may have given it a few standing starts. Helix organic clutch and fidanza flywheel is over a grand supplied and fitted.

what should happen when i do that to the car? it just kind of goes but slowly or it comes to a halt? and what would happen if the clutch was actually fecked?

the car is in A1 condition as far as i can tell anyway - plus i've got a years warranty with it - holla

He means check for clutch slip. The revs will fly up if its slipping.
