I can't knock your passion Nut, but you're not doing yourself any favours with the personal digs.

I too rate Hamilton very highly, but have to concede that Button has made him look like a chimp this year.
Do I think that Button has more talent than Hamilton ? No.

However Button has driven a much better season and has used his time in the car very well. There can be no arguments on that front.

Nut, I think your argument has just gone down the pan with the last couple of posts. Saying Chilled can't comment due to lack of experience, essentially makes your opinion null and void by the same token?! I hazard a guess as to who's done more laps on a racing circuit too!

Also...

"Button is a good driver, that's all"

Are you completely mad?! He's won an F1 championship and currently showing up his team mate at nearly every opportunity where it counts (ie not qualifying or practice)

No point me continuing on here - i'm out
However, the fact you think Chilled is skilled enough at driving a race car to have some credibility in advising Hamilton how to drive better because he has done a few laps round the ring and a few track days, and as a forum member is faster than you round a track (then again who isn't ) is simply hilarious and in fact completely nulls and voids your own argument much more than mine.

Oh dear. I don't think you understand.

I am simply arguing yes with passion, and I hoped with some humour, obviously that is missed ... but then that is not unusual here. You know as I do that Hamilton is a 'better, or as you put it more talented' driver than Button ... I am not trying to do myself any favours or otherwise, I am simply stating my viewpoint that Hamiltion is a better driver than Button. This is turing into quite a discussion and has given me something to look forward to at the prospect of what would have been a pretty boring race, now I want Hamilton to show what he can do and prove my point ... can't wait for the quali and the race now ... before this discussion i wasn't even going to bother watching it ... !!!

You can't win an argument or prove anything on the internet. People have different opinions and rarely change them when debating with strangers.

Secondly, if Lewis were to thrash Jenson - lap him and the field - no one would be surprised nor see it as an amazing feat. Lewis is expected to be faster than Jenson, so it's no big deal. When the opposite happens people make a big deal of it - because it is NOT expected.

I share your passion for Lewis, but he has put us in a difficult position because of some of the mistakes that he has made and the brain fades haven't help.

Form is temporary, class is permanent. Let Jenson and his fans have their day. Normal service will resume shortly

Im sure I remember Jenson saying soon after he and Hamilton becoming teammates, that if Lewis could communicate to the team (mechanics, aero team etc) how to set up the car etc that Lewis would be so much faster. Anyone else remember this or am i dreaming ? Is that Jenson himself admitting that Lewis is the quicker driver ? Here is the question, if your life depended on it who would you back to finish higher Jenson or Lewis ?

Jenson, absolutely. His smooth style and racing intellect will ensure he finished a high % of races.

Again, not nocking Lewis, it's just a fact at the moment.

None taken. I'm quite used to criticism of my driving I only listen to those who know their stuff though (nobody on here)

I'm not anti Hamilton as i've said before, I think / hope he comes good. This could be a bit of a Beckham sending off moment for him, ie the making of him... Actually think he might do ok this weekend. He needs to stay out of trouble though.

Pot? Kettle?

I've only noticed hamilton hating from UltraNexus, certainly not from MB.
