Cheers. I can't believe I worked through all the sh1t Jaguar years to eventually win 3 world championships in a row.
Red Bull is a great place to work. />
What was different about the Jaguar years (if you're allowed to say)? Button in an interview recently said of his old team (i.e. Mercedes) something like "I think they have a lot of managers now", which is typical corporation BS - lots of money wasted on things that don't seem to benefit the results, which I'd bet was the case with Jaguar/Ford.
My guess is that the main difference is £££££££££££££££££££££££££

I'm sure it was technical directors he was on about.

This is true for Merc, they have pretty much hired every former Technical director going.

They have feucked up this year because they focused on the wrong area. I think next year they'll have something to offer.

Do the Renault guys get anything? There was a lot of whingeing from Horner and Newey about the 5 year old alternator problem that Renault haven't solved.
I'm not sure, they just supply the engines so its a separate entity. Maybe Renault have their own bonus scheme but not out of the FOM pot. That's the down side of only supplying engines I suppose.
cg - is SV as annoying in 'real life' as on TV?

Hi mate, far from it. He's a bl00dy good laugh specially at our debriefs and parties.
He's very passionate about racing and obviously very focused when at the circuit so can come across arrogant but he's not like that in normal situations.

The reason why Brits hate him is because he's German, if he was British everyone would be rooting for him. He is no MS, he has a personality out of the car. />/>/>/>

CG - I hope that our very own MSC doesn't read your comment or you're in for some heat! />/>/>

I have no respect for that bloke. I saw him almost run down a fan at Hungary 05 in his Quattroporte as they were asking for an autograph at the gate. Rather than calmly driving off, he floored it past the fan and pushed him out of the way almost knocking him off his feet without a care. My opinion of him dropped from that point.

But I thought you said he lacked personality? By the sound of those actions he certainly has...

For somebody as focused, determined and successful as MSC I think his personality is great, at least it was when I had a few mins speaking with him back In 1999 at the Monaco grand prix. He was a very personable, intelligent warm hearted man. Even a slight sense of humour which is quite rare being German, aka Vettel!

But people can say what they like, you get used to it being a Schu fan for 18 years! 90% of the time when people slag people off its down to the green eyed monster or simply a reflection of their own insecurities.

I like Vettel but never took to him like I did mike. Perhaps cause Im not a child anymore or perhaps because I'm yet to see Vettel prove himself in my eyes. Something is just missing I dont know what.

Strangely I seem to be rooting for Alonso and Kimi these days!

60% chance if rain I think I read. If Vettel finishes 4th or better it's his.

Hope it's a classic, it has all the ingredients. Might be another 2008

Structure was the main thing. It's like a well oiled machine now as everyone pushes in the same direction. Jag just had loads of big names leaching money left right and centre.

Just noticed Vettel and Webber have a big '1' and '2' respectively, on their caps. Bit shit making them advertise who's the lead driver?!
