All the employees give a f*ck, we get 10k for winning the constructors. It's nice to get both though.

Do the Renault guys get anything? There was a lot of whingeing from Horner and Newey about the 5 year old alternator problem that Renault haven't solved.

I'm not sure, they just supply the engines so its a separate entity. Maybe Renault have their own bonus scheme but not out of the FOM pot. That's the down side of only supplying engines I suppose.

lol I still stand with my predictions before... with room for Hamilton to move down (team f*ck up). I think Massa will show that he really is not 2nd fiddle caliber, especially in his home Grand Prix. I still want to throw the wild card of MW in there because he IS my favorite driver! haha
Well as our seemingly resident American buntinboy what was your take on the track of Americas, the US revisit to F1, do the Americans get it? Do you think it will be more popular or same old same old the USA and F1 ?
I haven't done too much research on COTA yet but from watching the race it seemed like a middle tier type of venue. I think the chicane is the best part of the track and that turn one is... lets say interesting.

The revisit seemed to go pretty well actually from what all of the news and media said. I see more and more Americans getting into it this year. Silverstone and Canada was also given a prime time spot on one of the major stations here. I think more people would enjoy it if there were better commentators like sky and BBC. I think the American ones are too old and not spirited enough.

With me being the ripe old age of 22. I don't think my answer to the last question would be prevalent enough because I wasn't old enough (or cared enough) about actual racing when it was at IMS. I do believe that the younger crowd, especially the auto enthusiasts, are paying more attention. The car club here at Purdue had a watch party for the US GP, which hasn't happened for any other type of motorsport.

I believe that the largest problem is that most GP's happen at weird hours here in USA.

Hi mate, far from it. He's a bl00dy good laugh specially at our debriefs and parties.
He's very passionate about racing and obviously very focused when at the circuit so can come across arrogant but he's not like that in normal situations.

The reason why Brits hate him is because he's German, if he was British everyone would be rooting for him. He is no MS, he has a personality out of the car.

I thought it was very interesting that in Abu Dhabi, Christian Horner seemed quite quick to blame Renault for the lack of fuel issue, and again in Austin we saw both him and Newey point the finger firmly at Renault. That suggests a bit of a breakdown in the Red Bull-Renault relationship; normally teams close ranks and never publicly criticise their engine supplier.

I read somewhere that F1 is going to be on NBC next year, instead of the "Speed" network whatever that is. So presumably that means more Americans are likely to see it.

I guess so. Somebody had suggested more races should be on in the evening, where more people are watching TV. So if you moved the European races to the evening, then that would mean middle of the day for the US.

I have no respect for that bloke. I saw him almost run down a fan at Hungary 05 in his Quattroporte as they were asking for an autograph at the gate. Rather than calmly driving off, he floored it past the fan and pushed him out of the way almost knocking him off his feet without a care. My opinion of him dropped from that point.
